Rolling Thunder is Namco’s cinematic side-scrolling spy action arcade conversion for the Famicom. Players control secret agent Albatross infiltrating the terrorist organisation Geldra’s fortress. Gameplay features cover mechanics, multiple weapon pickups, hidden supply rooms and challenging multi-stage layouts, pioneering stealth-inspired run-and-gun design on 8-bit consoles.

Stages span jungle outposts, underground bunkers and fortress corridors. The agent can duck behind cover to evade enemy gunfire. Collectible pistols, machine guns and grenades expand combat options. Hidden storerooms contain extra ammunition and vitality restoratives.
